McGOWAN - On January 1, after a lingering illness, James J. McGowan, son of Mary and the late John McGowan. May he rest in peace. HUNTER - On Wednesday, 29th of October, 1879, Susan, aged 6 years 10 months and 19 days, only and beloved daughter of Julia A. and Jerome Hunter. TO SUSIE HUNTER, BY HER GRANDFATHER, R.S.H. A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is still'd; A place is vacant in our home Which never can be filled.
